Dermal Fillers

INCLUDES: HA filler, Radiesse, & Sculptra

All facial fillers used at Velvet Skyn Aesthetics are made from either Hyaluronic Acid (HA fillers), Radiesse (Calcium Hydroxylapatite) or Sculptra (injectable poly-L-lactic acid). Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers and biostimulatory fillers, such as Radiesse and Sculptra, each offer unique and significant advantages within the field of aesthetic treatments.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are designed to provide immediate volume and hydration to the skin. They work by attracting moisture, which results in enhanced facial contours and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines. The effects of HA fillers are visible instantly, making them an ideal choice for individuals seeking quick results in facial rejuvenation.

In contrast, biostimulatory fillers play a crucial role in promoting the body’s natural collagen and elastin production over a more extended period. This gradual increase in collagen and elastin leads to sustained enhancements in skin texture and volume.

Radiesse, for instance, is formulated with calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres. This composition allows Radiesse to deliver immediate lifting effects while simultaneously stimulating collagen production beneath the skin. As a result, patients often experience not only an initial enhancement but also longer-lasting improvements in skin elasticity and firmness.

Sculptra employs poly-L-lactic acid as its active ingredient, encouraging collagen formation in a more gradual manner. The results from Sculptra develop subtly over several months, providing a natural-looking enhancement that enhances overall skin quality without dramatic changes.

While Radiesse is frequently preferred for immediate lifting capabilities, Sculptra is chosen for its ability to deliver consistent and uniform improvements in skin quality over time. Both options serve distinct purposes and can be tailored to meet individual aesthetic goals effectively.

The use of fillers can improve and even eliminate wrinkles, plump and hydrate lips, replace soft-tissue volume loss, raise scar depressions, and improve creases and folds of the face. As we age, our skin becomes more susceptible to wrinkles and fine lines, especially due to sun damage and muscle movement. Facial fillers provide a solution to such damage through facial injections.
